DMCA Copyright Policy

JAV.HK respects intellectual property rights and responds to clear notices of claimed copyright infringement. This page explains how copyright owners can report material and how affected contributors can submit counter-notifications.

A written notification under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3) should include:

  • a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or an authorized representative;
  • identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list when one notice covers multiple works;
  • identification of the material claimed to be infringing, including each exact JAV.HK URL needed to locate it;
  • your full name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address;
  • a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and
  • a statement that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed right.

Where to send a notice

Send complete notices to the JAV.HK copyright contact at dmca@jav.hk. Put "DMCA Notice" in the subject line. Sending unrelated requests to this address may delay a response.

JAV.HK may share a notice with the person responsible for the material or with relevant service providers. On receiving a substantially complete notice, JAV.HK may remove or disable access to the identified material and take other appropriate action.

Counter-notifications

If you believe material was removed or disabled because of a mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notification to the same address. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3), it should include:

  • your physical or electronic signature;
  • identification of the removed or disabled material and its previous location;
  • a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification;
  • your name, address, and telephone number; and
  • the jurisdiction and service-of-process consent required by 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3)(D).

JAV.HK may forward a complete counter-notification to the original complainant and handle the material according to applicable law.

Repeat infringement and misrepresentations

JAV.HK may restrict or terminate accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances. Knowingly making a material misrepresentation that content is infringing, or that removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, may create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
